XYZ’s new project in development has been shortlisted for Unlimited’s partner award in collaboration with the Wellcome Collection. Elders, 2085 is a collaborative sci-fi geri-drag performance and film installation work exploring queer geriatric care for future generations of trans+ elders. Set in an imagined queer-care home, eight trans+ performers depict daily care rituals through theatre. Combining oral histories, scriptwriting workshops and geri-drag visuals, the work reimagines ageing with hope, challenging traditional notions of care and kinship for trans+ communities.
