A Trans-led healthcare arts collective
(London- Birmingham)
We are queer medics, tranthropologists and disabled artists co-creating community-made healthcare information artworks to re-imagine public care systems.
Watch Dr. XYZ (2024)
Jaunts (they/them) is an artist, filmmaker and researcher from the Black Country and co-director of XYZ. Their work reimagines public information formats (healthcare service announcements, instructional films and soap operas) as opportunities for rehearsing revolution via camp, satirical and co-operative storytelling. They have an MA in Visual Anthropology, during which they developed 'Dr. XYZ: A Medical Drag Transthology', a community-made trans health training film later funded by the AHRC x BFI's NHS Untold Stories initiative. They were participation artist in residence with Dr. Ravi Piccus at Gasworks, 2025–26, leading 'For Living and Dying Otherwise' — a workshop series imagining and recording alternative visions of the British care home, which led them to create 'Elders, 2046'.
Dr. Ravi Piccus (he/they) is a transmasculine NHS GP in training and medical researcher. Ravi is co-director of XYZ Projects.Through his medical education, he has developed an acute understanding of the UK medical-industrial complex and, as a transmasculine person, has experienced the discrimination of this system firsthand. He has a keen interest in community-developed knowledge and community-delivered healthcare. He works to translate qualitative research with the community into education and clinical practice for health systems.
